Pewter Plates, Dishes and Platters
Plates inspired by antique originals, embossed plates, Baroque-style plates, engraved plates, cardinal plates, plates with an English border, 18th century-style plates… it would be difficult to find a collection of pewter plates, dishes and platters that is more complete and varied than the GT collection. All of our pewter plates are finished with the utmost care and precision, and this makes them unmistakable. We know there is some psychological resistance at the thought of eating food directly from a pewter plate; yet for more than six hundred years pewter plates have been used on tables throughout Europe, and this is something that everyone should experience. Each of our pewter tableware items is entirely handmade by our pewter artisans, and stamped with the GT brand name, which is our guarantee of both high quality alloy and an excellent finish. The alloy we use for casting each object is tin, bonded with antimony and copper. The Italian pewter we use meets all EU and US requirements for food safety.
